A new brand, a dynamic activities showcase and the foundations for a strong search presence.

Swakopmund Activities is an online booking service for activities in and around the town of Swakopmund. The client wanted a brand that would convey the spirit of the town and its unique location, nestled between the ocean and the desert.

Wanting to reach visitors ahead of their visit to Swakopmund, it is a priority for their website to be visible in search.

Whilst no new website will shoot to the top of Google after launch, we wanted to give the site the best possible chance by developing a site structure that would stand the test of time.

We built the client a brand to represent their town and a website to reach the world.

The Brand

The brand identity for Swakopmund Activities is centred in the town of Swakopmund and the desert and the sea surrounding the town.

We took inspiration from photos of the Namib Desert and the Atlantic Ocean, creating a colour palette and logo that match and encompass both.

The Structure

A foundation for search

We designed a site structure that created clear focal points on the site for individual activities as well as experiences grouped by type.

Our team then supported in the production of unique and rich descriptive content to encourage search engines to interpret this website as a relevant and authoritative source of activity-related content.

Making the experiences come to life

Swakopmund Activities offers seven local activities which they wanted to be marketed equally on their site.

After choosing an activity, the site then needed to offer the user a fuss-free method for booking an activity. A contact form collects booking information and the Swakopmund Activities team take care of the rest.
