A brand refresh, a new mobile optimised website and a search-friendly client directory.

We helped this well established street sign advertising agency bring their business online with a website that is easy to use and looks great on both desktop and mobile devices. Their branding also received a light update to match the new site.

The real showpiece, however, is the client directory that was built into the site. Through it, Advertising Displays can now offer each of its clients an optimised listing to help them reach even more customers through search results.

Providing added value to its clients is at the heart and centre of the Advertising Displays ethos. By adding a directory to the site, we were able to help their website embody this value with a tool that will help improve the online presence of their own clients.

The Brand

An updated look for an established brand

Whilst Advertising Displays wanted a brand refresh, they did not want the change to be too radical. It was important that their established client base would still recognise their brand.

We gave their logo a more modern feel by simplifying their original concept of a speech bubble and introducing more symmetric type handling.

Taking inspiration from their original branding, we suggested a revised colour palette that is self-assured and mature but still stands out.

Neon yellow was replaced by a deeper, richer yellow and instead of navy we opted for a deep grey to provide contrast.

SEO and UX

Optimising for search engines and users

We took a range of factors into account to design the website for great user experience and search engine performance.

Users needed to have clear and easy options for getting in touch. This meant having clear calls to action on the home page and throughout the site.

We also helped the client craft meta data to show up in search results and added structured data to help search engines like Google recognise it as a local business.

A little black book

The creation of a business directory on the site added value for existing clients through improved presence in search.

From a technical point of view this meant creating a template that incorporated structured data so search engines would recognise and properly contextualise the business details.

Unique copy was also created for each entry.

The Website

A showcase and a contact book

It was important that the website give an immediate sense of the high value that Advertising Displays places on maintaining the aesthetic of the town of Swakopmund.

This meant incorporating images of the town into the design as well as giving the street signs prominent placement on the website.

Emphasis on the about section gives the client a platform to talk about their work as a partner in the community.
