An SEO audit is the best way to start any SEO campaign. It’s also essential maintenance if your website is to show up in search; like an online MOT. Unfortunately, many audits are overly technical and alarming. Rest assured, when we lift the hood on your website, we’ll give you a clear appraisal with a realistic plan of action to help you fix only what’s needed.

SEO Audits with Action Plans

Our audits will:

  • Determine your website’s overall health by identifying errors and pointing out areas for improvement,
  • Assess your website’s current relationship with search engines as well as its potential for performing well in search, and
  • Help you determine actions and priorities for future SEO campaigns in a way that fits your timelines and budget.

Our audits are written in plain-English so you’ll really understand what’s wrong and are designed to help you work out what needs fixing and in which order. We also take your budget into account, ensuring our recommendations are as achievable as possible.

Packed with jargon-busting explanations, our audits translate technical terms into relatable concepts and the accompanying action plan will help you prioritise your SEO spend in the most effective way.

Our audits start at £450 for medium sized sites. The cost of an audit can be discounted against most of our other services.

Many companies give free audits, why should I pay you for one?

Free or low-cost audits are usually carried out entirely by software. You give the computer a website address, it gives you a report back in seconds. These audits can be useful for providing you with the basic metrics for your site’s health, but the results are rarely interpreted by a human to tell you what they really mean and what to do next.

It’s a bit like getting a diagnosis in medical terms without an explanation of what the condition actually is. Nor are you getting a discernible prognosis. Pretty scary!

A free audit will give you statistics on things like:

  • Canonicalisation
  • Robots.txt
  • Sitemap priorities
  • Load time and image compression
  • Validation errors
  • Domain authority
  • Keyword priority
  • Link metrics
  • Meta data
  • Alt tags

These are all crucially important elements of an audit but without context, an automated audit will not be able to provide very detailed recommendations. It’s unlikely to help you work out which the really big problems are and which issues you don’t have to spend money on right away.

It’s also worth considering that most free audits are used as marketing tools and thus intentionally leave out clear action plans to encourage people to sign up for long-term SEO services.

What makes your audits different?

Whilst we also use software to give us the basic data listed above (there simply isn’t another way of doing that) we look at this in the context of your business and then spend a great deal of time interpreting those results and communicating them to you in a way that you can relate to.

But we don’t leave it at that. We provide you with a detailed action plan, tailored to your budget, to help you work out what the most critical next steps are for your website’s SEO.

We’re not a traditional SEO agency selling long-term SEO campaigns, so you can rest assured that we’re not using the audit as bait.

How it works

1. Details & Access

Before we get started, we’ll ask you a couple of questions about your website. We will also always ask for access to your Google Analytics and Search Console in order to provide the most detailed overview of your site’s health.

2. The Audit & Action Plan

You’ll receive your audit and action plan from us within 7 days of payment.

3. Q&A

We’ll follow that up with a call (at your convenience) to discuss the results and recommendations and will adapt the recommendations if any new information surfaced during our chat.

4. Follow-up

If you or your team have any further questions, we'll provide technical support for the next 90 days. We're just an email away and always happy to help.

Great, sign me up! What’s next?

You’ll send us your details using the SEO audit form below and we’ll get back to you with a quote within 24 hours. Once you’ve made payment, we start work on the audit.

Hang on, I have more questions?

That’s fine too, ask away!

You can always pop us an email if there’s something specific.

In the meantime, here are a few frequently asked questions.

Can I take your audit to another SEO agency?

You absolutely can. Getting an SEO audit can be a bit a like getting a second opinion from a medical professional. Equally, if you already had a recent audit done, we could do another and we’ll most likely find something new or suggest a different approach.

Our audits are great if you’re shopping around for SEO services as you’ll now have a much better sense of what your website needs to get into great shape and how much that could cost.

We want to continue working with you after the audit. What’s next?

That’s great! We suggest checking out our bespoke SEO Training & Campaign services. These are designed around your website’s unique needs and will teach you or your team SEO basics as we implement the campaign.

If you sign up for a 4 month campaign you’ll get the audit for free.

I want a new website. Do I still need an audit?

If you already have an existing website that you’d like to have redesigned then an audit of the existing site is very useful for planning your next site.

It will give your web team valuable information for planning an SEO framework for your site and perfecting the site’s user experience. We include an SEO audit of any existing sites in any website design projects we undertake.

However, you could also get an audit from us to take to another web design agency.
